Marko Buljan is a real estate professional, investor, and founder of Imota Real Estate d.o.o. With a deep connection to southern Dalmatia, he is the driving force behind Štedrica Hills—an envisioned destination development rooted in the region’s natural landscape, cultural heritage, and enduring traditions.

 

With over a decade of experience in commercial real estate, Marko currently serves as Vice President – Shopping Centers at Matthews™, where he advises investors, developers, and property owners on the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of commercial real estate throughout California and across the United States. His experience spans investment sales, development, leasing, and the creation of long-term value for both investors and communities.

 

Throughout his career, Marko has been involved in the sale and leasing of some of California's most prominent shopping centers, representing clients in transactions involving leading national and regional retailers, restaurants, financial institutions, and other businesses.

 

Štedrica Hills represents a natural evolution of Marko’s work in real estate and his connection to Croatia. Drawing on his experience in investment, development, and commercial real estate, he is working to transform the historic landscape of Štedrica into a thoughtfully planned destination that celebrates Dalmatian architecture, agriculture, local materials, and the character of the surrounding villages.

 

The vision is not simply to develop land, but to create a place that respects its history while creating new opportunities for the future—bringing together hospitality, agriculture, architecture, and community in a way that is authentic to the region.

 

Outside of real estate and Štedrica Hills, Marko enjoys traveling between California and Croatia, exploring new places, following the Golden State Warriors, Croatian National Soccer Team, and discovering great local restaurants.

 

Marko holds a B.S. in Bioengineering from Santa Clara University.
